Professional Bathroom Plumbing Done Right

Bathrooms are where Brighton's plumbing shows its age first — and where a remodel goes wrong fastest when the rough-in is sloppy. The older ranches near downtown Brighton and the 1970s subdivisions of Thornton and Northglenn still run original toilets, tub valves, and galvanized supply lines that have spent decades under Brighton's hard, mineral-heavy water. The newer subdivisions have the opposite problem: builder-grade fixtures and valves that wear out early and start dripping behind walls where nobody sees them. Our crews handle the full range of bathroom plumbing across Brighton and the surrounding Adams and Weld County towns: remodel rough-in with supply and drain lines placed correctly before tile and drywall close the walls, fixture replacement done cleanly in a single visit, shower and tub valve repair and replacement, and leak checks behind walls and under floors so a finished bathroom stays finished.

  • Fixture replacement: toilets, vanities, faucets, tubs, and showers swapped cleanly

Bathroom Plumbing FAQs

We're remodeling a bathroom — when should the plumber come in?

Twice, at two very different stages. The first visit is rough-in: after demolition and before drywall and tile, we place the new supply lines, drains, and venting exactly where your new layout needs them — toilet flange, shower drain, vanity supplies, tub spout — and pressure-test everything while the walls are still open. The second visit is finish: once tile and paint are done, we set the toilet, hang the vanity, install the faucets and shower trim, and test every fixture. Getting the rough-in right is what separates a remodel that lasts from one that leaks behind a brand-new wall within a year.

My shower temperature swings when someone flushes — what's wrong?

That is almost always a worn shower valve, usually one without working pressure-balancing protection. Older two-handle valves and tired single-handle cartridges cannot compensate when a toilet flush or a washing machine steals cold water from the line, so the shower goes scalding or freezing for a few seconds. A modern pressure-balancing valve holds the hot-to-cold mix steady no matter what else runs in the house, and it also caps the maximum temperature to protect children and older adults. Replacing the valve cartridge sometimes fixes it; when the valve body itself is corroded or obsolete, a full valve replacement is the durable answer — and it is usually done through the shower wall or an access panel, not by tearing out tile.

Can you replace a toilet or vanity without tearing up the bathroom?

In most cases, yes — fixture swaps are among the cleanest jobs we do. A toilet replacement is typically a single visit: old unit out, flange inspected and repaired if needed, new wax seal and bolts, new unit set and tested, with the old one hauled away. Vanity and faucet swaps work the same way when the new fixture fits the existing footprint and supply locations. The exceptions are when the flange is cracked, the shutoff valves are seized, or the drain location has to move for a new layout — we check all of that before starting, so you know upfront whether the job is a simple swap or something bigger.

How do you check for leaks behind a bathroom wall?

We start with the signs you can see: water stains on the ceiling below, soft or bubbling drywall, a musty smell that survives cleaning, and a water meter that creeps when nothing is running. Then we narrow it down with a moisture meter on the wall surface and, for stubborn cases, thermal imaging that shows the cool track of a slow leak inside the wall. Once we know where it is, we open the smallest access that reaches the failed joint or valve — often through the back of an adjacent closet or a removable panel rather than through finished tile. Every bathroom job we finish gets a pressure and flow check at each fixture, so a leak we fixed does not quietly become a leak you discover months later.
